ImagesThis site contains over ninety pictures, displayed at random as pages are accessed. They are images that give an imperfect sense of place and time and purpose. They are a product of the photographers ideas and thoughts. Looked at individually, the pictures are of passing interest. But if you are open to seeing relationships between the pictures then several themes start to emerge - themes that tell you something about the photographer, and what interests them. Information is somewhat like that. We are served up discrete news items, or magazine articles, or technical papers, or academic opinions, usually about a single event or subject. Each is of passing interest in its own right, just like still pictures. The intelligence "process" is concerned with the patterns formed by the information - in understanding how the information fits together to give insights - what we refer to as the warp and weft of the knowledge cloth.
